Cloud gate was interesting. The subtleties of movement juxtaposed with coarse sudden jerks of bodies, arms, legs, fingers, toes, face and hair complemented the lightplay that reflected off golden sand that filled the stage, producing really evocative fluid motions to a background of droning, chant music and falling sand. Admitedly, it moved very slowly, and was an exercise in patience at times. Don, our friends and I nodded off midway and Thad kept asking what was happening and was slightly restless. He behaved remarkably well though, all things considered. I wonder why they advertised it as a kid's event.

We went to Myer after to play free computer games and went to Jane and my new fav Korean restaurant for dinner. Thad has added ox tongue to his list of fav foods. Others include fish eyeballs, escargots (the mollusc, not the pastry) and frog legs. He says that ox tongue tastes like snake tongue, which he's eaten in England. Snake tongue is slightly saltier, though.
