Yesterday, Thad had his first Chinese class. We stayed to observe the first 5 minutes. He proudly proclaimed to the teacher, Zhao Lao Shi, that he knows yan ching, or eyes in Mandarin. He learnt cow, pig and ears in Mandarin. The next class is in 3 weeks and Thad is semi-excited.

On the way back, we stopped over at a party shop and got heaps of party supplies. This is the most expensive and impersonal birthday party yet. Sigh... we used to hand make everything.
